Shaun Keaveny is set to take over the weekday breakfast show on 6Music from Phill Jupitus.Keaveny, who joined the BBC alternative music station from XFM, will move from his current evening slot to the breakfast show on Monday 2 April.
He said: "It's difficult to express how excited I am about taking the 6 Music breakfast chair without resorting to colourful Anglo-Saxon language."
6Music controller Lesley Douglas said: "I have long admired Shaun Keaveny – his irreverence, humour and love of music will make him the perfect new breakfast show presenter."
The station celebrates its fifth birthday this year.
