Ebay radio shows raise £2,500 for Comic Relief

Three opportunities to present a show on the UK's most listened-to digital only radio station, The Hits, have been auctioned off for a total of more than £2,500.

The Emap station put its breakfast, mid-morning and afternoon shows up on Ebay to raise money for Comic Relief.

"danielstroughair" put in the winning bid of £516 to host the breakfast show from 7am to 10am this Friday.

Sean Coleman will take a break from the afternoon show, after "alancoates8" successfully pledged £1,000 to host the programme.

But the most popular show was mid-mornings — normally presented by James Piekos — which went for £1,020 to "matthewdolton1".

In total, the auction raised £2,536 for charity.

The three winners have been invited to Manchester to voicetrack the shows, which will be aired on Red Nose Day this Friday.
