The presenter of Radio 2's Sunday morning religious programme, Sunday Half Hour, is to step down after 16 years.The Reverend Canon Roger Royle, will present his last weekly show of hymns and prayers on Easter Sunday, 8 April.
Canon Royle said he had "decided the time has come for me to take life that little bit easier and let someone else care for my listeners".
He will continue to contribute regularly to the pause for thought slot on Terry Wogan's breakfast show.
