A US firm is looking for manufacturers in the Far East for a new household wireless internet radio tuner which costs less than $15 to produce.Cambridge Consultants says the device could retail for around $50 (£25).
The firm's head of consumer products, Duncan Smith, told ElectronicsWeekly: “We believe this platform could stimulate a new category of consumer electronics product, or act as a cost-effective add-on for established product lines such as DAB and satellite radios or MP3 players.”
